slag tanks are mainly used to carry converter slag, refining furnace slag, and large ladle casting residues for continuous casting. The temperature of the slag is higher than that of the liquid steel under the conditions of the converter smelting process. After the smelting is finished, the temperature of the liquid slag covering the surface of the molten steel will be reduced by the splash and protect process of the converter, the pouring of slag from the furnace, and the operation of the composition, and so on, and theoretically, there is a risk of melting through the tank of the slag at such a high temperature.
